Svaroopa® yoga classes are taught by
Carolyn Beaver CSYT, RYT 500, E-RYT 200,
owner of ParkCentered Yoga in Boise, Idaho.

Our studio is purposefully small, accommodating six to ten students in group classes. You get personalized instruction, designed to help you get the most benefit in the shortest amount of time.

Every class begins in Shavasana, yoga’s relaxation pose, with a classical yoga guided awareness and gentle breath practice, or pranayama. This begins the process of unraveling tension in your body and mind.

Svaroopa®  Yoga is systematic. It provides a full release of core muscular tension along your spine, starting with the tailbone and moving up into the sacrum, waist and rib cage. There is no “pretzel bending” in Svaroopa® yoga – although you will be encouraged to move your body in ways that may at first seem challenging. You will leave class relaxed, refreshed and ready for the rest of your day.

An Introduction to Svaroopa® Yoga course, held quarterly,  teaches the basics of core release and helps you develop a home yoga practice. New students may also start with the Wednesday or Thursday morning all-levels classes.

A Learn to Meditate course, held quarterly, imparts the skills necessary to establish a daily, ongoing practice. You’ll learn what you’re doing and why, and how to handle any obstacles, so that meditation becomes the best part of your day. Meditation provides clarity, focus and peace of mind. The system taught, Svaroopa® Vidya meditation, comes from a rich and enlivened meditation tradition. For more information, you may also visit www.svaroopavidya.org.
